HRMIS is a humanitarian information data bank that will be intergrated between agencies.

1. When will EG-HRMIS be implemented at Government Agencies?

The entire EG-Hrmis project will take 42 months to encompass two phases. The first phase is for 24 months and involves 10 pioneering agencies. These pioneer agencies comprise the Public Service Department (PSD), Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the Ministry of Health, the Sarawak Chief Minister's Department, the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) MARA), Executive Management Information System (SMPKE), Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) and the Department of Veterinary Services (JPH). The second phase covers a period of 18 months and it involves the implementation of HRMIS across Government agencies


2. What will happen to the existing human sub-functions?

Based on the vision, mission and human resource objectives of the Malaysian Public Service, the EG-HRMIS project has reviewed the needs of the Malaysian Public Service human resource by taking the views of the government.

Based on these requirements and comparisons made with the public sector abroad, new human resource processes have been established. Any existing human resource processes will remain relevant. In general, apart from the enhancement of existing human resource processes, the EG-HRMIS project offers technology sophistication. For example, human resource affairs can be done in real-time and on-line. Human resource information bank data will be integrated among agencies to facilitate the use of human resource information by the relevant parties.


3. What are the preparations to be provided to civil servants to use the EG-HRMIS system?

  • All civil servants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to receive and use the EG_HRMIS system.
  • The preparations to be given will depend on the public servant's confusion. For example, common user convention of the EG_HRMIS system is different from the needs of the EG_HRMIS system operator.
  • The forms of preparation will include several aspects:
    • Changes in the processes of human resource function from now on to now
    • Use of the EG_HRMIS system
    • Support services provided
    • Such arrangements will be provided through training sessions and certain communication channels to be provided from time to time.
